Speaking of Touch
"Language is steeped in metaphors of touch. We call our emotions feelings and we care most deeply when something "touches" us." Diane Ackerman, A Natural History of the Senses pg 70Our emotions although not physical are described using words of touch. "She felt warm and sunny"is a way of describing a happy emotion. "She was such a hothead" is a way of describing anger. "She was feeling down" is a way of describing sadness. My sketch shows different emotions unified because although we feel emotions in a nonphysical way we are still able to describe them like they where physical objects.
